T-Chow

We wandered down the road to T-Chow in the heart of Adelaide’s Chinatown for dinner. A large square room, unadorned and almost industrial looking, choc-a-bloc full with noisy eaters, is a heaven for lovers of the fifth quarter.

The menu and the specials boards are full of items like Duck gizzards, Fish stomach, Cock’s Comb, Pork entrails, Beef tendon and less offaly dishes like the Goat Hot Pot, Salt and Pepper Squid or the Steamed Scallops with Ginger and Shallots.

Chefs So Hon Hung and Dora Chan from Hong Kong produce fabulous, authentic Cantonese food and the Hot and Sour Beef Tendons are still tantalising my senses. What a wonderful dish!

They are licensed as well as BYO. The service is friendly although it might sometimes be hard to attract someone’s attention. This is a Chinese restaurant with seriously good food and if you visit Adelaide, you mustn’t miss it.
