A Fabulous Summer Drink

In summer we need something cold, refreshing and slightly bitter. We definitely can’t quench our thirst with something sweet, so this is my favourite drink for summer:

Bitter Beer

Pour 75ml of Bertrand’s Amer Bière à l’Orange into a chilled Pilsner glass. Top up with 1 bottle of Red Oak Organic Hefeweizen and enjoy!

The many types of Red Oak beer are available in Sydney, made and distributed by the Hollyoaks of the Rod Oak Boutique Beer Café in Clarence Street and the bitters are distributed by Cerbaco in Melbourne and available from Ultimo Wine Centre in Sydney.

The 'normal' Amer Bière is generally made with Picon (a Fernch bitter) and any beer. I like Picon with Little Creatures Pale Ale for a refreshing drink.
