Not one for the diet brigade!

La Goulue is French for “female glutton” and a certain amount of culinary excess is certainly welcome here. This restaurant is unashamedly traditional French. Boudin noir, pigs trotters, soufflés and absolutely no consideration for the diet brigade makes this place special. Most of the flavours are in the fat and thankfully at La Goulue it’s still there, and whilst they’re at it, they won’t forget to add some extra cream and a handful of salt. Flavours are generous and so are the portions. The food is both hearty and refined and if you like offal you’ll be at home here. Desserts are excellent and so is value for money. The space is quite modern, warm and noisy. The service is attentive and the restaurant is BYO.
